Cocktail History: Vieux Carre



Welcome to our 33rd Cocktail History where we share a cocktail recipe while talking about its history and tossing in a bit of Freeborn County history.

This week we are featuring the Vieux Carre!

Recipe:
-Ice
1/4 oz -Benedictine
1/4 oz -Cognac
1/2 oz -Sazerac Rye (We used rye whiskey)
1/4 oz Sweet Vermouth
3 Shakes – Peychaud Bitters (We used Creol Bitters)
3 Shakes – Angostura Bitters
Cherry or Lemon Peel for Garnish

Mix all liquids together until blended and pour into ice filled glasses. Garnish with Cherry or Lemon Peel.
