Hi loves, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! The last month has been really exciting and I’m so happy that I overcame my fears and started vlogging. Thank you all so much for the love and support you’ve shown me. I really appreciate your encouragement throughout it all…esp for my first vlogmas this year!!
I pray that this coming year you will be blessed abundantly and that I can in someway inspire, motivate or encourage through my vlogging journey.

MAKING HOT CHOCOLATE- TRINI STYLE

TRINIDAD HOT CHOCOLATE (Source: Naparima Girls’ High School Cookbook)

1 1/2 Tbsp. Cocoa Powder(dark)
2 Tbsp. water
2 cups milk
1 1/2 Tbsp. Granulated sugar
2 cloves
1 bay leaf (small)
1, 1″ cinnamon stick
A dash of bitters

Topping
Whipped cream
Whole cinnamon stick
Grated nutmeg

1. Combine cocoa powder with water into a loose paste
2. In a saucepan, place milk, granulated sugar, cloves, bay leaf, cinnamon stick and a dash of bitters. Bring to a boil.
3. Add cocoa paste to hot milk mixture and whisk to combine.
4. Strain hot chocolate into a heat- resistant mug.
5. Top with whipped cream, grated nutmeg and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
