How to make The Halekulani Cocktail, a Hawaiian Classic

We go from Kuala Lumpur to Hawaii. It’s time for the Halekulani Cocktail. This cocktail was created at the Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki. It’s not your normal Tiki Cocktail, utilizing Whiskey instead of Rum as the Spirit of Choice. It was also not created during the glory days of Tiki.

To create this Cocktail, you will need the following:

Nick and Nora/ Coupe
Angostura Bitters
Orange Juice (Fresh Squeezed if possible)
Pineapple Juice
Lemon Juice
100 Proof Rye Whiskey
Demerara/Muscovado Simple Syrup
Grenadine
Cocktail Shaker
Strainer
Barspoon

To actually make the Cocktail:

2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
.5 oz./ 15 ml Lemon Juice
.5 oz./ 15 ml Orange Juice
.5 oz./ 15 ml Pineapple Juice
1 Barspoon of Grenadine
2 oz./ 60 ml Rye Whiskey

Combine into a Shaker, Shake over Ice until cold, strain into Nick and Nora/ Coupe
