The Bitter Banana cocktail leverages the bitterness of Campari to elevate the chocolate from cacao nibs via an infusion. Added to the banana liqueur, it really works well together, thanks to the vanilla notes from the vanilla vodka. The Black Walnut bitters adds a nice nuttiness to the cocktail.
30 mil/1 oz Cacao nib infused Campari
30 mil/1 oz vanilla vodka
15 mil/.5 oz banana liqueur
1-2 dashes of chocolate bitters
1 dash of black walnut bitters
Stirred for 20-30 seconds, served neat in a chilled cocktail glass. No garnish needed.
To make the cacao nib infused Campari, put 300 mil/10 oz Campari and cacao nibs in an airtight glass container. Store it in the refrigerator for at least a week, shaking it up once a day. Strain into a bottle for ease of use. Enjoy!!!!
