Make a Black Manhattan Cocktail

Let’s make a variation to the traditional Manhattan. It uses Amaro, and it’s called the Black Manhattan. Amaro means bitter, but liqueur is really bitter sweet. The original calls for Averna Amaro, but I think almost any Amaro will work. It’s a great riff on a classic cocktail.
Recipe:
2 ounces (60 ml) rye
1 ounce (30 ml) Amaro (your choice)
1 dash Angostura bitters
1 dash Angostura orange bitters
Combine in a mixing glass, add ice, and stir for 20 seconds. Strain into a cocktail glass, and garnish with a nice maraschino cherry. Cheers!
