POV Cooking/Mixing Old Fashioned, Negroni, & Gin & Tonic | First Person Cooking

Before I started seriously cooking at home, I was shaking and mixing drinks for my friends during my Masters’ Program. Greg from @How To Drink inspired me with his very short, informative videos on classic cocktails that I knew I could make. It forever changed my perspective on alcohol because I knew spirits could be manipulated in so many ways with other ingredients to make something delicious, not very much unlike cooking food.

I have since honed my craft quite well; making emulsions, infused spirits and syrups, fat washing, along with a myriad of other, delicious techniques. Though these ingredients are expensive at times, and sometimes the process of making these drinks is time consuming, it is well worth the additional cost and time. I treat as a weekend ritual. Carve my ice, mix/shake my drink, and play videogames. I hope you take the dive into cocktail making,. I will be posting videos like these every now and then with increasing complexity. These three cocktails are just some of the basics. Recipes for these drinks are below. PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBLY.

Old Fashioned:
