Tasting Profile | Amaro di Angostura | Drinks Network

Amaro is the Italian word for Bitter or Sour. There are many variations of Amaro particularly in Europe but we can define the category as;
A predominately Italian herbal liqueur that is traditionally drunk as an after-dinner digestif. It usually has a bitter-sweet flavour and has an alcohol content of between 16% and 40%.

Amaro Di Angostura is such a beautiful and flexible product it can be enjoyed straight or over ice as a digestif or we can play on the bitter liquorice, sweet chocolate and fresh citrus notes in an array of cocktails.

The rich, bold spice profile is balanced beautifully at 35%abv to compliment cocktails all around the world.

The perfect representation of this is the Amora Amaro, a classic mix of Amaro Di Angostura, Angostura Bitters, Sugar Syrup and Fresh Lime. A taste of the tropics in a glass!
