The Whiskey Sour, A Classic for Beginners

In this video, I make the classic cocktail known as the Whiskey Sour. Arguably one of the best cocktails known around the world. Enjoy!

To create this cocktail, you will need the following:

Your drinking vessel of choice (preferrably a large coupe)
Rye Whiskey
Simple Syrup
Egg White
Cocktail Shaker
Hawthorne Strainer

To actually make the Cocktail:

.75 oz./22 ml Lemon Juice
.75 oz./22 ml Simple Syrup
2 oz./60ml Rye Whiskey
1 Egg White

Combine all but egg white into small tin, add egg white into large tin, combine, shake without ice first, then crack open the shaker, pour the contents back into the small tin, add ice to large tin, re-combine the cocktail and shake over ice. Double Strain into a large coupe, garnish with a few drops of bitters. Angostura or Peychaud’s is preferred.
